2. Why do you have this Online Giving donation portal?

Seventh-day Adventist Conference (Singapore) (‘SAC’) set up this Online Giving donation portal as an added convenience for our members and supporters. All donations are kept private and confidential. View our Privacy Policies here.

3. Can I still use the old familiar cash and cheque method of giving at the local church?

Yes, this Online Giving donation portal by Credit Cards, PayNow, or Internet Banking is simply another method available to you. You can use all available methods of giving at your own convenience.

4. Does this system give more money to the conference?

No. All percentages and destinations remain the same as the regular system or as shown in the graph distribution in Question 1, above.

5. How do the local churches or local church treasurers keep track of this method of giving?

After receiving the regular monthly reports from the local church treasurers, the conference treasury will incorporate this group of givers into the final monthly report given to the churches and conference.

6. Who will know what I am giving?

Only the conference treasury will know of your giving. If you select ‘Anonymous’ and request for a receipt, the receipt will be sent to your email address, with the donor name ‘Anonymous’. Your local church treasurer will not know your giving. However, the amount will be reported as part of the overall total in the final monthly report in the local church if you have selected your local church.

8. Is my personal data safe?

All donations (i.e. tithe and offerings) received by ‘SAC’ are kept strictly private and confidential. Your personal details are not shared with the local churches. See our Online Giving Terms and Conditions here. Furthermore, you may check the box “Anonymous” if you do not wish anyone to know who you are.

9. Are my tithe and offering donations tax-deductible?

Although ‘SAC’ is registered under the Charities Act, Cap 37, donations received are NOT tax-deductible.

10. What forms of payment does this Online Giving donation portal accept?

You may donate using credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or direct debit (PayNow or Internet Banking)

11. Are there any bank charges that I have to pay if I make my donation using credit cards?

You will not be charged for any bank credit card charges or commission; ‘SAC’ will absorb those bank charges of 2% per transaction.

12. Can I get a receipt for my donation?

Yes, if you have checked the box indicating you want a receipt and filled in your email address, a soft-copy of the Official Receipt will be emailed automatically emailed to you almost instantly when using credit card, and within 10 working days for direct debits (PayNow or Internet banking).

13. Is there a limit to the amount that I can donate?

14. Can I cancel my donation?

ALL donation made through ‘SAC’ website are NOT refundable. Please refer to the terms and conditions of use. If there is an error in your donation transaction, please contact us with your transaction details.

15. If I like to make a donation other than Tithes or Offerings, who should I contact?

If you would like to donate for other purposes (e.g. making a Will or Planned Giving), kindly contact [email protected] or call 65-6561 0022 to speak to the treasurer of the Conference for further details.

16. How is my personal data managed? 

Your privacy is of upmost importance to the Seventh-day Adventist Conference (Singapore), (‘SAC’ or the ‘Church’). We are committed to maintain the confidentiality of any personal data or information you give us through this site. Personal particulars or information refers to all and any information relating to you obtained by us in the course of and as a result of the provision of this service in this site. Such information includes your name, email address, contact number; mailing address, and etc. ‘SAC’ may use your personal information for the purposes of providing you with service through any form of correspondences; preparing and transmitting of receipts; internal recording; rendering assistance to law enforcement, governmental or regulatory agencies; or complying with any applicable laws or any order of court. Only authorised staff of ‘SAC’ will have access to your personal data or information unless disclosed otherwise for the purposes stated above.
